The 2014 Social Enterprise Conference will be held at the
Marriott Marquis at 1535 Broadway (between 45th & 46th street), near Times Square in New York City, which is easily accessible by subway or taxi. For more information, please review our information page

The Conference attracts professionals and alumni from all sectors (business, nonprofit and public) and students interested in business and social impact. We expect to host about 700 attendees, with 60% professionals and 40% students.
The mobile conference app is powered by Eventbase. You can
download Eventbase by visiting your phone’s application store. Please be advised that printed copies will not be available on the day of theconference, so please download the app beforehand. The app works with iOS and Android phones. If you do not have a supported phone, the conference site is mobile! You can
view it in your mobile browser.
iPhones: In the App store, download the Eventbase app.
Android: In the Google Play store, download the Eventbase app.
- Once inside the Eventbase app, search for “Columbia Social Enterprise”.
- Launch the event guide.
Volunteers will be located in the lobby area of the 5th floor near registration. Anyone wearing the Columbia Business School pin can assist you in downloading the app.

All Columbia Business School MBA/EMBA/Executive Education Alumni qualify for the alumni ticket pricing. Please use your CBS lifetime ID when registering for the conference. Alumni ticket sales will be reviewed to confirm alumni status.
Attendees currently working for a nonprofit or public sector organization qualify for nonprofit pricing on tickets. When registering, please use your work email address. Nonprofit/government ticket sales will be reviewed to confirm your status. Any emails not ending in .org, .edu, and .gov will receive a follow-up email from
socialenterprise@gsb.columbia.edu to confirm your work organization status. Attendees not qualifying for nonprofit/government tickets will be required to pay the difference between their ticket and a professional ticket price at on-site registration.
Discounts may be provided to attendees who opt-in to our email listserv. Discounts are offered on a limited bases during our flash-sales. We are unable to honor expired discounts. For more information on discounts, please

Please check with your financial department regarding the restrictions on your credit card; some cards restrict purchases of event registrations.
Browser troubleshooting: Sometimes there is an issue with the Internet browser you are using. Please try using another browser.
Website registration troubleshooting: If neither of the above methods solve your problem, please email Diana Rambeau at ddr2121@columbia.edu with the exact error message you receive from our registration site for help on troubleshooting your registration.
Please select your dietary restriction on the event registration. For any special requests, please indicate your restrictions in the space provided on the event registration. We will do our best to accommodate meals for all attendees.

Session and speaker planning begins in January each year. To nominate a speaker, please provide information on your speaker and references of past conferences spoken at, in addition to topics relevant to the current conference that (s)he would like to speak on. Information regarding this year’s conference theme can be found on our website here. Please e-mail your nomination to socialenterprise@gsb.columbia.edu.
The conference does not currently issue a call for papers. If you would like to nominate someone to speak on the conference theme, please email
socialenterprise@gsb.columbia.edu.
Unfortunately the conference does not sponsor visas for international travel.
The conference is business casual attire.
