HORTON AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN SOCIAL ENTERPRISE
The Lucius N. Littauer Foundation,Robert Frost ’97, President
Join us as we celebrate The Lucius N. Littauer Foundation and Robert Frost ’97 for their longtime support of social enterprise at Columbia Business School including the Loan Assistance Program, which encourages MBA students to take management and leadership roles in the public and nonprofit sectors. The award also recognizes Mr. Frost’s commitment to affordable housing in the New York City metropolitan region.
About the Horton Award
The Horton Award recognizes individuals or organizations who are dedicated to social or environmental causes and have used management skills to benefit society. This award is named for Professor Ray Horton, who established social enterprise as a program at Columbia Business School.


SOCIAL ENTERPRISE LEADERSHIP AWARD
Carrie Braddock ’06
We look forward to honoring Carrie Braddock ’06, managing director at Centerbridge Partners, for her pioneering work launching the Centerbridge Foundation and leading other impact-focused initiatives at the firm. The mission of the Centerbridge Foundation is to increase access to educational and economic opportunities for young people so that they can achieve their full potential.
About the Social Enterprise Leadership Award
The Leadership Award recognizes mid-career alumni who use business tools and entrepreneurial and management skills to address social and environmental challenges. Recipients demonstrate dedication to the field of social enterprise, making outstanding contributions to their organizations.


THE CARSON FAMILY CHANGEMAKER AWARD
MICHAEL PARANAC ’19T. ROBERT ZOCHOWSKI III ’19
During his time at Columbia Business School, Michael Paranac ’19 served as a student leader for the 2018 Social Enterprise Conference, Capital for Good and participated in the Bridging the American Divide class. As an advisor to the Women’s Housing and Economic Development Corporation (WHeDCO), Michael was inspired by WHeDCO’s groundbreaking work in affordable housing and decided to pursue a career in real estate investment and development. He continues to explore how to apply the principles of social impact in the real estate industry, particularly in urban communities.
While pursuing his EMBA, Robert Zochowski ’19 is currently a vice president at Goldman Sachs. At Columbia Business School, Robert is a Three Cairns Climate Fellow and completed a project focused on mitigating the environmental effects of charcoal use in Mozambique. He participated in consulting projects for The National MS Society, through the Nonprofit Board Leadership Program, and the World Wildlife Fund, through an inter-disciplinary project between the Tamer Center for Social Enterprise and the Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation.
About the Carson Family Changemaker Award
The Changemaker Award is named in honor of the Carson family, recipients of the 2016 Horton Award, for their longtime support of social enterprise at Columbia Business School and the nonprofit community in NYC. The award recognizes current students who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to and leadership in the field of social enterprise.
