Robert (Bob) Hammer ‘67 will accept the Horton Award for Excellence in Climate and Social Impact, recognizing his extraordinary four decades as a chief executive and entrepreneur in the technology industry as well as his bold commitment to Columbia Business School initiatives in digital transformation and climate change.
About the Horton Award
The Horton Award recognizes individuals or organizations who are dedicated to social or environmental causes and have used management skills to benefit society. This award is named for Professor Ray Horton, who established social enterprise as a program at Columbia Business School.

The Leadership Award recognizes mid-career alumni who use business tools and entrepreneurial and management skills to address social and environmental challenges. Recipients demonstrate dedication to the field of social enterprise, making outstanding contributions to their organizations.

About the Carson Family Changemaker Award
The Changemaker Award is named in honor of the Carson family, recipients of the 2016 Horton Award, for their longtime support of social enterprise at Columbia Business School and the nonprofit community in NYC. The award recognizes current students who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to and leadership in the field of social enterprise.
