Bob Bancroft is vice president, finance for the Nathan Cummings Foundation, a multi-generational family foundation focused on justice for people and planet. Bob has over 18 years of nonprofit and entrepreneurial experience in finance, investments, and technology. His focus is on enhancing the foundation’s financial operations, governance, and impact to support partners and achieve mission. Earlier this year, NCF announced a commitment to 100% mission-aligned investing. Bob is leading the foundation’s efforts to leverage its entire endowment as a tool for economic and environmental justice.
Bob previously served as director of finance and tax for the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, a private, independent foundation dedicated to advancing the education of high-achieving students from all backgrounds who have financial need. While there, Bob took a leading role in transforming the way the foundation’s $700 million endowment was managed and helped lay the groundwork for its program-related investments portfolio.
Prior to his tenure in the nonprofit sector, Bob—who is also a certified public accountant—launched a successful small business venture and also served as controller for a foodservice distributor. Bob graduated from Boston University summa cum laude, with a BS in management.
