HORTON AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN SOCIAL ENTERPRISE
PAUL B. GUENTHER ’64
We celebrated Paul’s longtime support of social enterprise at Columbia Business School including the Loan Assistance Program, which encourages students to take leadership roles in the public and nonprofit sectors. Paul has also dedicated significant time and resources to arts and healthcare organizations in the greater New York City area.
About the Horton Award
The Horton Award recognizes individuals or organizations who are dedicated to social or environmental causes and have used management skills to benefit society. This award is named for Professor Ray Horton, who established social enterprise as a program at Columbia Business School.

During their time at Columbia Business School, Imani and Natasha have been integral to launching the ReEntry Acceleration Program (REAP), while Kathryn has served as a teaching assistant for the new course Bridging the American Divide.
About the Carson Family Changemaker Award
The Changemaker Award is named in honor of the Carson family, recipients of the 2016 Horton Award, for their longtime support of social enterprise at Columbia Business School and the nonprofit community in NYC. The award recognizes current students who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to and leadership in the field of social enterprise.
